The function of the non-stick cloth is to isolate the melted EVA from sticking to the upper chamber rubber sheet and the laminator heating plate. Once the EVA is stuck to the rubber sheet and the hot plate, it will be difficult to remove.
The correct method of use is: At least 4 non-stick cloths on a laminator. After each use, do not re-use it immediately, but leave it on the side and wait for it to cool down completely. Then remove the EVA on the non-stick cloth completely, so that the non-stick cloth keeps the original color. If the EVA on the non-stick cloth cannot be completely removed, the EVA will stick to the battery unit glass when it is used again. At this time, the EVA leaves EVA particles on the glass regardless of the cleaning. When the panels are used outdoors, these EVA particles will re-melt and stick to the glass. And adsorb dust on the glass. These dusts cannot be removed. Sometimes dust blocks the battery and creates a long-term hot spot effect.
2. Correctly use the sealing material of the frame
Sealant is required to add a frame to the panel. Some units seal the EVA strip in a concave groove in the frame. The EVA is melted with a hair dryer. If EVA is used as the frame seal, be sure to put the panel after the frame is placed in the curing oven for curing. Otherwise, when used outdoors, EVA will repeatedly melt and absorb a large amount of dust under the sun. In addition, the sealant must not use colored gelatin, otherwise the pigment will slowly diffuse into the EVA inside the panel, and the panel will change color after one year of use.
3. The normal use of the vacuum pump
In the routine maintenance of laminators, the most important maintenance aspect is the maintenance of the vacuum system. When the laminator is used for a period of time, the vacuum of the laminator is reduced. When it is reduced to a certain extent, bubbles appear on the panel. Therefore, it is required to check daily whether the vacuum pump is short of oil. Check whether the oil level of the vacuum pump reaches the window oil level line under working conditions. When it is insufficient, it should be made up, but not excessive. Secondly, after a period of use, the vacuum pump oil starts to become cloudy or black. At this time, it is required to change the oil of the vacuum pump, and at the same time, the vacuum pump is cleaned to remove the colloidal foreign matter sucked in the vacuum pump.
After cleaning, the vacuum is still not high, which may be due to the following reasons: After the EVA passes through the high temperature in the laminator, the peroxide (crosslinking catalyst) and antioxidants added in the EVA, the trace wax acid will escape with the increase of temperature. come back. Some peroxides are involved in the cross-linking chemical reaction of EVA, which escapes into the air after forming new substances. The higher the operating temperature of the laminator, the more and the more complex the EVA escapes into the air. A part of these complicated substances are sucked into the vacuum pump, adsorbed on the components in the vacuum pump or dissolved in the vacuum pump oil, resulting in a decrease in the overall function of the vacuum pump. The other part is in the vacuum line, and as the temperature is lowered, it forms a colloidal particle and is adsorbed on the vacuum line. Over time, the vacuum line becomes narrow or even blocked. The only way to do this is to replace the connected vacuum hose.
